Ο Άγιος ιερομάρτυς Ανδρόνικος γεννήθηκε την 1η Αυγούστου του 1870 στο χωριό Ποβόντνεβο της επαρχίας Γιαροσλάβ, στην κεντρική Ρωσία. Στο Άγιο Βάπτισμα έλαβε το όνομα Βλαδίμηρος.
Στην ηλικία δέκα χρονών γράφτηκε σε Εκκλησιαστικό Σχολείο και μετά την αποφοίτηση του, το 1885 στο Εκκλησιαστικό Σεμινάριο του Γιαροσλάβ.
